Kazys Venclovas
Born in 1962 in Pasertupys village, Kretinga district, Lithuania.
1975-1982 studied art in M. K. Ciurlionis Secondary School of Art, 1982-1988 studied sculpture in Lithuanian State Art Institute (currently-Vilnius Academy of Art)
Member of Lithuanian Artists’ Association.
Since 1990 has participated in many exhibitions and international sculpture symposiums in Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, France, Slovakia, Latvia, Sweden, Japan, Great Britain, Russian Federacion. He has been presented the following prizes and awards: 1990 Grand Prix in International Woodcarving Symposium “Wood-90”, Voru-Kiidi (Estonia), 1996 Diploma in International Sculpture Quadrennial “Cross-Roads”, Riga 96 (Latvia), 1 Jury Prize in 7th International Symposium of Wood Sculpture, Budduso 96 (SS; Italy), 1999, 2001 Prize of the Artists in International Woodcarving Competition, Liffol le Grand (France), 2003 First Jury Prize for the fire sculpture in international artists symposium “Sharing experiences. Iron, Fire, Glass” Halleforsnas, Sweden. 2021, winner of the competition of artistic-architectural idea of a monument to president Antanas Smetona near the building on Gedimino Ave. 13, Vilnius.
Museums and private collections, as well as sculpture parks and other public places in Lithuania and abroad have his works.
Held nine one-man exhibitions.
