Vytautas Tamoliunas was a productive creator, an active participant in exhibitions, plein airs and creative camps. Having started participating in exhibitions since 1983, the artist has organized more than 60 personal exhibitions alone. Over the last decade, he has worked extensively in the field of artistic photography, seeking to capture Kaunas artists and the cityscape.
Vytautas Tamoliunas was a Kaunas city culture and art scholarship holder, and also won scholarships from the Cuxhaven House of Artists (2001, 2004) and Otto Niemeyer-Holstein in Germany. He has won various awards at exhibitions and competitions for his creative achievements. The spectators of the exhibitions also loved the artist (public prizes for the painting Žolinė at the Kaunas Picture Gallery 1999 and at the photography exhibition-competition Kaunas is Beautiful 2005). As a photographer, he participated in many projects of Kaunas County Public Library (his artistic photographs are in the publications prepared by the library Tsaris Kaunas, Kaunas in the Change of the Times, Signs of Kaunas Identity). He has published 4 publications of works: Catalog (2003), Two Samogitians - Two Worlds (2004), Catalog of Works (2007), together with Romualdas Pozerskis - Bridges (2007).
