Gediminas Pašvenskas
Born in 1988, Kaunas, Lithuania.
2008 – 2012 studies in Vilnius Arts Academy – Kaunas Arts Faculty, Sculpture.
Paricipates in exhibitions since 2011.
Member of Lithuanian Artists Union since 2016.
During my creative process I try to notice and discover objects, distinct object fragments and details for which I apply visual effects from objects that have different functions but are visually similar. This way, I give a dual meaning for my pieces of art. I am not avoiding sarcasm, grotesque and irony, sometimes dictated by non-standard material or object. I emphasize fragility and esthetics in both – my ideas and material. I love to try new materials to work with.
