"I am an artist painter who feels nostalgic for the future and, unfortunately, increasingly forgets the past and where I put the keys. When I want my thoughts to calm down, I start moving my hands. I use these movements for painting. I believe that when I create, I am part of a supernatural experiment, a life whose magic we defiantly forget. When I do, my thoughts take a back seat, rarely buckle up, and drift away from fears, losses, disappointments, and self-loathing. All that remains is action. By painting, I believe that I am a better person who can influence the viewer to leave the gallery with the work I create and not forget to leave. I believe in revolutions, rock stars and ordinary stars, I believe that there are no rules until you break them, I secretly hope that the purpose of man is to create. That's why I became a painter more than thirty years ago, from the first student exhibition at the Vilnius Art Institute to art-spoiled Paris.
Most of us are born with a certain role in an already written script. I am not an exception. Having met the world in the family of an artist, I knew that the smell of paint would touch not only clothes. I hated the landscapes my father painted, but I was not good at anything else. Later painted realistic images were "broken" until something abstract, expressive, "Bulaka" was born. There is no person, only an idea!..."
