Works in the fields of print (etching, silk-screen). painting. Creates Ex-libris, posters, illustrates books draws cartoons.

From 1970 takes part in various exhibitions in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russian Federacion, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Italy, Canada, Australia, and the USA. The Vilnius Art Museum, the M. K. Ciurlionis Art Museum . Kaunas, the Del Bello Gallery in Toronto (Canada) and the House of Humour and Satire in Gabrovo (Bulgaria) acquired a number of the artist's works. His works were also purchased by collectors.

Has held 20 personal painting and graphics exhibitions.

Alongside books the artists enjoyed great success in the sphere of creating Ex-libris: he won the first prizes in Lithuania (in 1986, in three exhibitions in 1989, in 2013) and abroad - in the International Ex-libris Competition The Sun and the Moon in Argentina (2004), the international Ex-libris Small Graphic Forms Competition in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium (2009). All in all, Ajauskas has won as many as thirty-four awards, including an especially significant first place in the the international Biennial of Graphic Art in Moldova (2013).
