Vilmantas Marcinkevičius
Is an exceptional figure in the context of Lithuanian art and one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary neo-expressionist painting in Northern Europe. While still a student he stood out for his bright and expressive painting, which was and is far removed from the traditional Lithuanian school of painting. After studying painting at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Vilmantas was noticed by collectors from Denmark and thus discovered his way into the art world of the Nordic countries. Having worked with Galleri NB, one of the strongest art galleries in Denmark, for almost twenty years Vilmantas holds a very strong position in the art market in Scandinavia, especially Denmark. It is not only Nordic people who value the artist's work. In 2021 Vilmantas' paintings were successfully presented in the United Arab Emirates and South Africa. Vilmantas became a painter for the Danish royal family. For almost 30 years he has been participating in group exhibitions, organizing personal exhibitions, and delighting his art fans with new works.
